Cancelling, and why there is no cooling-off period
Under the refund policy, the 14-day cooling-off period that usually applies to distance purchases in the UK does not apply, because access to the service begins immediately. Purchases are generally final. If you have any doubt about whether London profiles within your reach suit you, the one-week plan is the careful first step.
Renewal is halted via Support, reachable inside the members area, or via the chat bot; an email with a link completes it. Paid extras stay live up to the final day already covered. Your profile survives cancellation unless you remove it yourself under settings.
Age
Eighteen is the threshold for UK members. If you meet someone visiting from the United States, bear in mind that a few US states set the age at 21 under the Terms.
Getting around
In London, travel time matters far more than miles.
- The Tube and the Elizabeth line connect much of the city, but crossing from south-east to north-west can still take an hour.
- The Night Tube runs on certain lines on Friday and Saturday nights. On other nights, plan around the last train or the night buses.
- The Overground links areas the Tube does not reach well, especially in the east and south.
- Black cabs and ride-hailing apps are the fallback, but late fares across zones add up.
When you write your profile, mention your area in general terms and the journeys you would genuinely make: "North London, happy to meet anywhere on the Northern line or in central London." That tells a match at a glance whether meeting is realistic.
Discretion in a crowded city
Crowds feel anonymous, yet density works in both directions: the person browsing near you might live on your road or work in your building. Sensible habits:
- Choose a username unconnected to your name or social media.
- Keep your face out of public photos; share it privately once you trust someone.
- Avoid pictures taken at your window or on your street, where a landmark could identify you.
- Remove location data from photos before uploading.
- Use an inbox only you read if you share a laptop or an email account.
The bank sees an unremarkable company title, never the brand. Your sign-in email is never shown to other users.
Harnesses, toys and flat living
Flat shares and thin walls make storage and noise a genuine consideration. A lockable box or a plain fabric bag keeps gear tidy and private. Deliveries to a shared hallway can be seen by flatmates, so a parcel locker or collection point may suit you better.
Before meeting, agree who brings what: her harness, a toy size the receiver is comfortable with, condoms and water-based lubricant. If you are travelling across London with gear, a plain tote bag draws no attention. Styles, materials and cleaning are covered in the harness and toy guide.
Pairs in the capital
Two partners searching together should set out both partners' roles in their shared profile and be honest about logistics. Can you host, or would a hotel be more comfortable for everyone, given flatmates or neighbours? Suggest she meets both of you on a video call first; any single safeword from the three of you closes proceedings.
A first meeting that works
Meet somewhere public and easy to reach for both of you: a hotel bar, a quiet pub with room to talk, a café near a station on a line you both use. Message a mate the venue and roughly when you will set off home, keep enough on your Oyster card or contactless for the journey back, and settle beforehand if this first drink is talk and nothing more.
Scams follow the same pattern in London as anywhere else: flattery, pressure to move to another app, then a request for money. The safety advice explains how to recognise them and report a profile.
Postcodes and your search radius
London postcodes cover very different journeys. Five miles from Clapham might mean a short hop on the Northern line or a slog across south London by bus. Set a radius that reflects your actual routes, then adjust after several days of browsing. If you live near the edge of Greater London, remember that Kent, Surrey or Essex may be closer by train than another borough.
Hosting, hotels and flatmates
Many London homes are shared, and that changes the hosting question. If either of you lives with flatmates, a hotel may be kinder to everyone, including whoever sleeps beyond a flimsy partition. Agree who books and pays before the day, book in your own name, and keep your own key. A daytime meeting can also avoid the problem of getting home late.
Sexual health in the capital
London has NHS sexual health services across the city offering confidential testing and advice. If you and a new partner plan to share toys or play without barriers, talk about recent tests beforehand, and use condoms on shared toys regardless. Water-based lubricant and a fresh condom for each partner are the simple habits.
Writing a London profile
Name the general area, say if hosting is possible, and sketch your travel limits. Put role and boundaries plainly, in words of your own. One non-sexual detail, a favourite walk or market say, hands a match an easy first line. Avoid photos with a recognisable street, pub sign or Tube roundel behind you.
